Where Should You Garden?

You can garden anywhere!

If you are worried that you don't have enough outdoor space to garden, don't worry because there's another option. Indoor gardening is a very easy solution to this problem. If you can find a space in your home that is isolated and has exposure to sun, then I suggest that you start growing plants there.

Otherwise, you can garden in your backyard or front yard. All you need is an undisturbed small plot of land that is exposed to the sun in order to start growing your plants.

What is the Best Way to Garden?

Outdoor Gardening:

  1. Find an isolated space of land that has exposure to sun, but not too much sun. It is important that the location of your garden is away from disturbances.

  2. It is best to start gardening in autumn

  3. Gather your materials

    1. Buy the seeds that you want to grow: this can be found at any store or you can use the seeds from the fruits and vegetables that you have already bought

    2. Build/Buy garden beds: After planning where you want to grow your plants, you can start deciding the size of your garden beds and begin to start buying/building them. The usual size for garden beds is 3 feet wide and 10 feet long, however, you can adjust the measurements so that it best fits your space.

    3. Buy soil that has the right level of pH (usually 6-7) and nutrients: this can also be found in any store

    4. Buy garden hoes, hand tools, gloves, garden shovel, rake, and a scuffle hoe.

  4. After building/buying your garden beds, apply the soil to the beds

  5. Plant your seeds in the soil as deep as 3x the length of the seeds

  6. Water your plants so that they receive 1 inch of water per week

    1. Before watering, check the soil to analyze the moisture

  7. Check your plants, soil, and environment regularly to make sure that the plants are safe from threats and are undisturbed, receive a healthy amount of water and sun, and are growing well.

  8. You can occasionally apply compost, worms, and natural fertilizers to the plants.

  9. Continue to supervise and look after your plants, and you should see amazing results!

  2. Gather your materials

    1. Buy the seeds that you want to grow: this can be found at any store or you can use the seeds from the fruits and vegetables that you have already bought

    2. Build/Buy pots or small garden beds: After planning where you want to grow your plants, you can start buying pots for your plants. However, if you have a lot of space in your home, you can build/buy garden beds that best fit your space.

    3. Buy indoor plants soil that has the right level of pH and nutrients: this can also be found in any store

    4. Buy garden hoes, hand tools, gloves, garden shovel, rake, and a scuffle hoe.

  3. After building/buying your pots and garden beds, apply the soil
